Prop
Overview
A crowdfunding platform for property investment, built to translate an established offline investment model into a scalable digital product.

Context
Prop entered a market with existing players, but its advantage was structural. Backed by two established property investment firms operating in debt and equity, it launched with an immediate, qualified user base.
Rather than starting from zero, the business could convert existing offline investor relationships into a digital experience, then expand outward. Early access was given to this core audience, followed by broader public rounds with lower minimum investments to attract new entrants.
This dual-track model allowed Prop to scale faster than competitors while maintaining credibility with experienced investors.

Opportunity
Design a platform that could:
- Transition complex, offline investment workflows into a digital product
- Support both experienced investors and newcomers
- Clearly communicate high-stakes financial information within regulatory constraints
- Enable rapid growth from an existing customer base
Challenge
The core tension sat between ambition and constraint:
- Regulatory requirements limited how investment opportunities could be presented
- The underlying crowdfunding platform imposed technical boundaries
- Financial data was dense, nuanced, and critical to decision-making
The product needed to feel simple without reducing the integrity of the information.
Approach
The strategy focused on clarity, trust, and progressive disclosure:
- Structured complex financial information into digestible layers
- Designed flows that guided users from overview to detail without friction
- Prioritized transparency to support informed investment decisions
- Built a system that could serve both high-value investors and first-time participants
In parallel, the product foundation was shaped in close collaboration with the client’s domain expertise and the development partner’s technical constraints.

Execution
Led end-to-end design across brand, product, and experience:
- Defined core UX and interaction models
- Developed the brand and design system
- Directed UI design and implementation
- Worked daily with the development partner to deliver v1

Outcome
Prop launched within 12 months from initial concept.
Its first offering raised more capital in two weeks than its closest competitor had in a full year, validating both the business model and the product approach.
The platform continued to grow its customer base, expanding beyond its initial investor cohort into a broader market.
